Kick-off Event Begins Countdown to BTWW in Victoria
Join us on Tuesday April 22 at Victoria City Hall (#1 Centennial Square) for the official kick-off of Bike to Work Week 2008 in Greater Victoria. Doors open at 11:30am for t-shirt and team leader info pack pick-up and presentations will begin at 12pm.

Workshops for Communities
Does your community want to encourage more commuter cycling, improve conditions for cyclists and organize a great local event? How about a Bike to Work Week event?
Based on the success in Greater Victoria,Transport Canada has funded community workshops to share the building blocks of the Bike to Work Week event with communities throughout the Province.

To celebrate the season and to remind people of the importance of being safe & visible as the days become shorter and darker, Bike to Work Victoria is planning Bike to Work Day on Wednesday October 17.
BTWW Waste Management
Thanks to the people at SPUD, Bike to Work Week successfully diverted about 265lbs of waste from the landfill. This included coffee cups, food waste, and soft plastic recyclables. Almost all of which was picked up by BIKE!
Oak Bay wins Local Government Challenge - 40.7% Participation
"Saanich’s Annual Bike to Work Week Local Government Challenge saw on average 25% employee participation of the local governments who participated on the roads and trails, as they made their way to work. Spring Bike Safety Courses
Free Bike safety courses will be held Spring 2010 in Victoria for new and existing cyclists who want to learn more about riding safely in traffic. The course is excellent for building confidence to ride in all traffic situations.
This free, 7.5 hour course includes in-class and on-road training.
